Three people, including a couple, were killed in landslides in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban yesterday. In Cox’s Bazar, the couple were buried alive beneath the mud when a chunk of soil fell on their hut in Bamubeelchari village of Chakaria upazila around 1:30am. They are day labourer Mohammad Sadek, 36, and his wife Walida Begum, 24. Villagers said the couple had been living at the foot of a hill for the last couple of years.
