Attend to development meeting, understand Tech Pack detail, Original Sample, Raw Materials, Trims etc. from the merchandisers and attend the technical package meeting and discuss critical path for sample preparation, verify requirements such as type of machines, folders/attachments etc required, based on Tech pack and original sample;

Understand design intend and tech pack, Clarify and understand design intend. Clarify technical specification, construction and workmanship, placement details, embellishment details, washing requirement, product feasibility, low cost and revert back to customer for further clarifications with correct rational;

Liaising with buying team for pattern, construction, specification, placement with proper rational prior to pattern making;

Advise proper shrinkage application to pattern based on requirement;

Develop the base pattern based on Tech Pack details and reference provided by Merchandiser and Buying team;

Provide guidance to tech team for accuracy of patterns against Tech pack/sample, understand details of technical issues/inputs and mark seam allowance, notch/cut marks required on patterns;

Ensure that all materials, trims and accessories are available, check grain line, hand over entire package to sample cutter, explain requirements such as placement, grain line etc and monitor cutting process in order to ensure that instructions have been followed and cut panels are as per requirements;

Provide guidance for tech for patterns, templates, art work positions, finish boards according to the design, mark position (tally point) and explain requirements to the sample cutter to facilitate accurate cutting of lace;

Ensure all design alignment, matching point, Mirror requirement, engineered techniques to cutting team and pass the details to costing team;

Provide trim and accessories costing details such as elastic, tape, flat knit etc when Merchandiser request;

Work load balancing of pattern techs;

Ensure pattern feedback provide by Supervisors/ QA/ Garment tech are in cooperate in pattern;

On completion of Garment, join with fit review, measure/check garment against specifications, complete documents with details such as specific measurements, pattern measurements, garment measurements, construction changes, observations etc;

Forward Garment along with completed documents to Cstomer/ Buyer and on receipt of comments, follow similar procedures in the event that sample needs to be re made;

Lead, monitor, appraise and train up subordinates;

Carry out any other job assigned by the management.

B.Sc/ M.Sc in Apparel Merchandising from reputed university.
