BNP demands election under caretaker govt

Opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday demanded general elections under a non-party caretaker government. ‘A mass upsurge is a must to oust the ruling government. We conducted many movements in the last 14 years, now there was no alternative to mass upsurge,’ Fakhrul said addressing a programme at the National Press Club.
