Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka 1-0 at the Dasarath Rangsala Stadium in Kathmandu to keep their slim hopes alive of qualifying for the final of the 13th South Asian Games. Having lost their opening fixture against Bhutan and managing a draw against Maldives, Bangladesh needed a win to stay in the running and they did just that as Mahbubur Rahman Sufil’s strike in the 12th minute
