The nation is set to observe a one-minute blackout across the country tonight in remembrance of the brutality carried out by Pakistani Army on the unarmed Bangalees on the black night of March 25 in 1971. During the blackout programme, the power supply would be suspended from 9:00pm to 9:01pm across the country. Motor vehicles and important structures, however, will remain out of the one-minute blackout observance. In observance of the programme, necessary law enforcement agencies will be engaged to ensure security for the countrymen.
