A group of nurses at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) went on strike this morning protesting an incident of assault allegedly by hospital staff. They stopped all work and rolled to the streets near the outdoor unit, Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station, told The Daily Star. Last night, there was an altercation between a nurse and a hospital staff, the OC said. “It was resolved by authorities, but the nurses took to demonstration today.”
