Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered a countrywide structural survey of rail and road bridges and culverts to find if they need to be repaired. She gave the directive at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) here today so necessary repair could be done before the rainy season. The Prime Minister’s order came following the derailment of Dhaka-bound Upaban Express train from Sylhet on June 23 night, Planning Minister MA Mannan told newsmen after the ECNEC meeting.
