The death toll from Thursday's boat capsize reached six after Fire Service and Civil Defence recovered the body of the last missing person from Buriganga river yesterday. Shahida alias Rashida's body was seen floating in the river in Telghat area of Keraniganj at 10am yesterday, Kamrul Islam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, told The Daily Star. The bodies of Delwar, 35; his wife Jamshida Begum, 30; and their six-month-old son Zunair; Shahida's daughter and son -- Meem, 8, and Mahi, 6, -- were recovered on Friday and Saturday.
