ndia and Nepal are in a deteriorating state, and the last thing our health care can afford is to become like them
The Indian variant of the coronavirus has now officially been identified to be present in Bangladesh, and unless Bangladesh tackles the problem head on to curb the spread of this variant, we could be looking at an unmitigated health catastrophe.

Bangladesh need not look too far and observe Nepal, which, since the Indian variant entered the country, has seen an alarming 57 times increase in the number of cases occurred last month, with 44% of the Covid tests currently coming back positive.

Experts have opined time and time again on the severity of the Indian variant, and it is evident from both India and Nepal that it is difficult to comprehend the pace of the surge. As such, to have any chance to tackle this variant, pro-active planning and preparation remain of paramount importance.
