Former senior secretary to the Posts and Telecommunications Division Shyam Sunder Sikder has been appointed chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice yesterday announcing the appointment for a three-year term and providing the same rank and benefits as of a senior secretary. The tenure of the immediate past chairman, Md Jahurul Haque, ended earlier this month.
