Responsibility

In this role you will be responsible for:

Supporting delivery of data driven development and diplomacy: Provide analytical support to feed into monitoring and evaluating progress against the BHC Dhaka Country Plan and Delivery Framework. Providing guidance to teams on developing key performance indicators to be able to report progress of performance for their sector. Support the Statistics and Results Adviser in developing and maintaining key statistics accessed from credible data sources. This will support a culture of using robust data and evidence by colleagues across BHC Dhaka to strengthen evidence-based decision making and improve the use of accurate statistics to input into briefings and reporting of results. (40%)

Providing high quality technical steer and guidance to programme teams on improving monitoring and evaluation: with a focus on advising and supporting teams to develop programme theories of change, log frames, and monitoring and evaluation plans. There will also be a requirement to provide quality assurance of key programme documents (Business Cases, Concept Notes, Annual Reviews, Programme Completion Reviews). This will require working across multiple sectors for these tasks. (40%)

Supporting senior management and programme delivery teams to fulfil corporate and ad-hoc analytical requests: working with programme teams on timely reporting of BHC Dhaka contributions to centralised results commissions, ensuring they are methodologically robust and defensible. (10%)

Building staff capacity and capability: support the Statistics and Results Adviser in delivering in-house training and on-the-job coaching to staff on results, logframes, monitoring and evaluation. (10%)

Qualifications

At least a degree in a relevant numerate subject containing a minimum of 30% in social research methods covering at least quantitative research methods, qualitative methods, interpretation of data and presentation of results.
