  • Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), BRAC University (BRACU) is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, organized, and solution-oriented Outreach Manager to drive the implementation of a groundbreaking initiative in Bangladesh`s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry.
  • The position will manage the outreach activities of a challenging RMG factory mapping project titled "Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB) 2nd Phase" (MiB Phase 2, June 2022 - May 2025) launched by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of BRAC University (CED-BRACU), and funded by Laudes Foundation.
  • In the 1st Phase, MiB [www.mappedinbangladesh.org] conducted the first-of-its-kind nationwide census on export-oriented RMG factories in the Bangladesh apparel industry and presented the data on a groundbreaking digital map. The map hosted crucial information of over 3,800 factories. Such information has provided unique and rigorous insights into the Bangladeshi apparel sector, challenging a number of previously held assumptions, including the size and gender breakdown of the workforce.
  • MiB project has been remarkably successful in gathering data and developing meaningful relationships with industry stakeholders. At this point, where the final map with updated data is at hand, it is now imperative that the initiative moves into the next stage where it becomes an active and well-used tool by stakeholders across the sector. MiB 2nd Phase is now focused on expanding its outreach activities to increase data usability so that stakeholders can use MiB to enhance accountability and for informed decision-making.
  • In this regard, the Outreach Manager will be responsible for leading the project`s outreach activities for successful implementation. He/she will plan, lead, and monitor the implementation of outreach, promotional, and branding activities of MiB 2nd Phase, and focus primarily on increasing MiB`s extensive data usability by different stakeholders for data-driven decision making. He/she will coordinate with outreach partner/consultant(s) and will identify and communicate critical advocacy networks, coalitions, actors, and opportunities to advance MiB`s objectives, and act as a "Brand Ambassador" of MiB, ensuring proper and consistent use of naming conventions, brand attributes, and logo.
