  • JOB PURPOSE: At the Head Office (HO) level, Manager-Research and Special Project will be responsible for accumulating knowledge and evidence for project development and implementation design conforming to programme objectives and fostering innovative solutions to development problems. Provide strategic direction and guidance to field staff to operationalize Urban Development Programmes (UDPs) pilot and innovation projects and gather evidence to influence required result. The position will also dissemination of relevant knowledge/insights in platforms strategically aligned with UDP`s objectives.
  • SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
  • Qualifications

  • Masters preferably in Urban and regional planning/ Development Studies/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Economics/ Development Management from any recognised university/ institution
