Responsibility

Design and document database architecture.

Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.

Oversees backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover

Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.

Actively participate in development and customization of Software applications

Perform scheduled maintenance operations on Oracle and SQL server databases for the purpose of ensuring efficient program operations.

Version control and patching of database

Qualifications

B.Sc / M.Sc in any discipline, preferably in Computer Science, from any recognized university

Vendor certification on DBA track (OCP, MCSE/ MCTS/ MCITP etc.) would be added advantage
