How a combination of academic learning and practical work can make a difference A report in The Daily Star of December 7 has caught my attention. At a function at which rich tributes were paid to the many Indian soldiers who gave their lives in the Liberation War, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mr Rajeet Mitter, recalled his student days at that time and spoke about the contribution of Indian students, particularly those from West Bengal.
