Home Ministry works on building digital Bangladesh: Sahara
Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun today said her government is relentlessly working to build a digital Bangladesh to materialize the Vision-2021.
"We are working to turn the Home Ministry into digital. It will ensure e- governance in the ministry and the citizens will get benefit of it," she said while addressing as the chief guest an inaugural ceremony of Information Communication Technology Training Center at Home Ministry.
Telecommunication Company of South Korea gave assistance to install the ICT training center at Home Ministry.
Home Ministry is taking the initiative to build a digital Bangladesh and the training center will help to make efficient workers to materialize the Vision-2021, Sahara also said.
With Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry CQK Mustaq Ahmed in the chair, State Minister for Home Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmood Khandker and South Korean Ambassador Taiyoung Cho were present on the occasion.
In another programme, Sahara Khatun today handed a book on preventing human trafficking to IGP Hassan Mahmood Khandker at the conference room of the ministry.
"This book will help to execute the law enacted by the government to prevent human trafficking," she said.
She also hoped that the law enforcers would put their best efforts in preventing human trafficking.
