Bangladesh finished with a massive score of 394 for seven from 50 overs in their practice game against Ireland A at Stormont today.
Sabbir Rahman starred with a blistering 86-ball hundred, smashing 16 fours and a six. Tamim Iqbal provided the early foundation with a 75-ball 86, hitting 14 fours and two sixes, after Bangladesh had won the toss and elected to bat.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad notched up a 91-run partnership for the sixth-wicket off just 48 balls before the former was dismissed.
Mushfiqur scored 41 off 24, before edging behind off the last ball of the 47th over. Meanwhile, Mahmudullah was unbeaten on 49 and was joined at the crease by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza who scored 8 off 7 balls.
Shakib Al Hasan was among the runs as well before walking back after a rapid 44 off 27 balls off the bowling of Shane Getkate.
Bangladesh lost opener Soumya Sarker in the first ten overs of Powerplay after electing to bat. Left-handed batsman Soumya was out for 17 when he looped a shot at point off Craig Young, leaving the scoreboard at 44-1. Bangladesh finished the first ten overs with the score at 49-1 when Sabbir Rahman joined up with Tamim Iqbal, who was already in full fury with the bat.
It was the lone practice game ahead of the tri-series that also involves New Zealand.
