A Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court on Tuesday warned the chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party Khaleda Zia of issuing warrant of arrest for her if she fails to appear before it on April 10 in connection with 11 cases filed against her including a sedition case.
The judge of the court, Kamrul Hossain Mollah, this morning set the date after approving Kaleda’s separate petitions seeking more time to appear before the court, on the ground of health complications. Among the 11 cases, 10 were filed with Jatrabari and Darussalam police stations over arson attacks during the blockade sponsored by BNP-led alliance in 2015.
And the other case was filed with a Dhaka court for making seditious comments about freedom fighters and the Liberation War martyrs.
