Reiterating her firm vow not to give any room to militancy on the soil of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said that she would do whatever necessary to eliminate the evil force.
“There’ll be no place for militancy in the country. I will do whatever necessary and people will resist militancy to make Bangladesh a peaceful country,” Hasina said while addressing a function at the Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh in Dhaka this afternoon.
Referring to the ongoing army-led ‘Operation Twilight’ at a militant den in Shibbari of Sylhet, the premier called upon the people who are renting out their houses to be more careful about their tenants and to collect tenants’ information in detail.
“Otherwise, you (people) will fall into trouble like that of the militant den in Sylhet,” Hasina, also the president of the ruling Awami League, said.
