'BNP is clueless about what to do, that is why they are plotting to drive the government out.'
Flustered by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s success, BNP is now conspiring to oust the government as their movement has failed to gain traction, said Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the ruling Awami League.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of a school in Noakhali’s Kabirhat upazila on Wednesday, the Awami League leader said: “BNP is clueless about what to do, that is why they are plotting to drive the government out.”
“The prime minister will visit India in April. During the visit, she will sign treaties and agreements to protect the country’s interests. The Teesta water sharing agreement will be signed the same way as Ganges treaty,” said the road transport and bridges minister.
He urged the BNP not create problems.
The ceremony was also addressed by Noakhali 4 lawmaker and Awami League Noakhali disrtrict unit General Secretary Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, among others.
Obaidul later attended the Chhatra League conference at Kabirhat Government College.
