The High Court today fixed March 8 for passing order on a revision petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking its order on the trial court concerned to transfer the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case against her to another court.
The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Shahidul Karim set the date after concluding hearing arguments on the petition.
On February 8, the BNP chief filed the petition with the HC also seeking a stay on the trial proceedings against her in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case filed by the Anti Corruption Commission.
But Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar of the Special Judge’s Court-3 of Dhaka rejected the no confidence petition.
In the revision petition, Khaleda also challenged the lower court’s rejection order.
Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali appeared for Khaleda Zia, while Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan argued for the ACC.
