Nojibur Rahman said the number of taxpayers has continued to increase while the commissioners across the country are working “as a team.”

“Tax officials are playing a key role in keeping the country’s development activities on track by collecting taxes from people,” he said.

Large Taxpayers Unit Commissioner Alamgir Hossain presented a keynote speech on the occasion.

Highlighting the success of deputy commissioners, he said: “Political will is a must to construct a people-friendly taxation system. Partnership among the stakeholders should be strengthened.”

FBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmad said: “We have been now more active and the mindsets of people have been changing too.”
