Bangladesh government will be building homes for the evicted Santals in Gaibandha who are spending homeless days on demand of getting their land back.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the order to build homes for them,” Home Minister Asauddazaman Khan told reporters at a briefing in his office today.
They will be rehabilitated under the sheltering project of the government, the minister said after an inter-ministerial meeting on Victory Day celebration at Home Ministry.
Evicted Santals of Gaibandha’s Gobindaganj are passing days in acute food crisis – refusing to accept government aid – standing firm over demand of getting their land back.
‘NO POLITICAL CONFLICT IN B’BARIA’
Minister Kamal, while talking on the note of repeated attacks on Nasirnagar Hindus, said he found no political conflict in it and that it might be “an act of conspiracy”.
“Investigation is still going on. Complete details can be said after the investigation. But so far, I don’t see any hint of political conflict. It might be an act of conspiracy.”
