The Islamic University (IU) authorities today published a draft list of 53 students of different departments who remained absent from classes and examinations for 15 days.
The absent students were asked to report to the university’s proctor within September 20, our Kushtia correspondent reports.
“Primarily we have found 53 students of five departments remained absent in classes and examinations for last 15 days or above without informing their departments’ authorities,” said Mahbubar Rahman, proctor of the IU.
“Next course of action will be settled after discussing this matter with the law enforcing agencies,” he added.
The list was prepared based on the instruction given by the education ministry and University Grants Commission (UGC), according to the university Public Relations Department.
The university PR department published the list in a post of its Facebook page asking the listed students to be appeared before the concerned departmental offices within September 20.
