NHRC to seek judicial probe into incidents over Limon
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) will submit a petition to the Supreme Court on Sunday seeking a directive for a judicial probe into the incidents over Limon Hossain, including the murder allegation brought against him and his parents.

“The NHRC has decided to submit a petition to the Supreme Court appealing for launching a judicial probe into the incidents over Limon to protect his rights… we hope we’ll be able to submit it on Sunday next,” NHRC chairman Dr Mizanur Rahman told a press conference at the Commission’s office here on Monday afternoon.
He said the full commission believes that if a judicial probe is conducted into the incidents over Limon, the allegation brought against him will be proved false, and it will help him lead a normal life.
Limon, a Jhalakati college student, got one of his legs amputated after members of elite force Rab shot at him on March 23, 2011. Recently, a murder case was filed against him and his parents by a local Rab informer.
