BNP, allies to demonstrate across country Wednesday
The BNP-led 18-party alliance will demonstrate across the country on Wednesday protesting the filing of cases against their leaders and activists, and demanding the return of missing BNP organising secretary M Elias Ali.

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday announced the programme at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the afternoon.
Police filed two cases in connection with the torching of a vehicle near the Prime Minister’s Office and hurling bombs at the Secretariat during the hartal hours on Sunday.
Meanwhile, BNP and its allies observed countrywide dawn-to-dusk general strikes on Sunday and Monday to press for the rescue of Elias Ali and his diver who remained missing since April 17 midnight.
