Ahead of Eid, Govt to release 14 detainees
The government on Monday said 14 prisoners, including two women, will be released from different jails across the country ahead of Eid.

Assistant secretary of Home Ministry Md. Jahurul Islam Ruhel signed an ordinance to release the detainees.
The to-be released detainees are:
Md. Kabir Hossain from the Dhaka Central Jail, Shahidul Islam and Akbar from Kashimpur Jail, Md. Iqbal Hossain from Mymensing Central Jail, Abdul Halim from Jamalpur Jail, Rutom Ali from Rangpur Jail, Mandal Sen from Lalmonirhat Jail, Md. Jewel from Dinajpur Jail, Liton Kumar Das from Rangamati Jail, Russel and Badrul Islam (Janu Mian) from Sylhet Central Jail, Poli Begum from Sunamgaonj, Tania from Jessore, Sekandar from Bagerhat Jail.
