First hajj flight on Sept 17

Hajj flights for carrying Bangladesh pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will begin on September 17.

National carrier Biman Bangladesh Airways, Saudi Airways and NAS Air, a third party carrier approved by Saudi Airways, will submit the complete schedules of flights to the Hajj Association of Bangladesh (HAB) and Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry on August 12, an official source of the ministry told The Independent.

A total of 1,12,568 pilgrims would perform Hajj from Bangladesh this year.

Of which only 2,965 pilgrims will go under the government management while the rest under private management.
