Humayun’s burial as per family decision: Nanak
Local government and rural development state minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak said noted novelist Humayun Ahmed would be laid to rest as per the decision of his family members.
He came up with the comment while receiving Humayun’s body at Shahjalal International Airport on Monday morning.
He said, “We took all measures to bury him beside grave of Kazi Nazrul Islam, Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals’ graveyard or Banani graveyard. He will be buried with state initiatives after receiving family decision.”
At the time, Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, younger brother of Humayun Ahmed, said the final decision about Humayun’s burial yet to be taken.
The body of eminent soap-opera maker Humayun Ahmed arrived here on Monday morning.
An Emirates Airlines flight carrying Humayun Ahmed landed at Shahjalal International Airport at 8:54 am.
