Four killed in road crashes in four dists
Four people were killed in separate road accidents in Shariatpur, Chapainawabganj, Bhola and Thakurgaon districts on Tuesday.

In Shariatpur, a teenage boy, Hridoy, 14, son of Shamsuddin of Altakuri village in the upazila, was crushed under the wheels of a bus at Nitkhamba under Damudya upazila in the morning.
Witnesses said the Gosairhat-bound bus of “Al-Arafa Paribahan” from the district town ran over Hridoy while he was crossing the road at about 9:45 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
Local people caught the bus driver and handed him over to police along with the vehicle.In Chapainawabganj, a six-year-old boy was crushed under the wheels of a bus at Haripur under Chapainawabganj Municipality on Tuesday late afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Jasim of Boiltha village in Nachole upazila in the district.Sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station Saiful Islam said Jasim died on the spot as the passenger bus dashed him at about 6 pm while he was standing beside the road.
In Bhola, a young man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a trolley at Mangalsikder in Lalmohan upazila in the afternoon.The deceased was identified as Jewel, 22, of Mangalsikder village in the upazila. He used to work as a truck helper in Dhaka.
Locals said Jewel skidded off the motorcycle and fell on the ground after his bike hit the trolley while overtaking it, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police seized the trolley and arrested its driver and helper.In Thakurgaon, the driver of a tractor, Ahmed Ali, 35, died on the spot when his vehicle fell into a roadside ditch at Parua in Baliadangi upazila around noon.
Shamim Hasan, officer-in-charge of Baliadangi Police Station, said the brick-laden tractor skidded off the road and plunged into the ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, killing Ahmed on the spot.A case was filed in this connection.
