Not only my portfolio, there were changes in many: Shahara
Minister Shahara Khatun has said she does not believe that her inability to run the Home Ministry was the reason behind her being shifted to the Telecommunications Ministry.

"Not only my portfolio, there were changes in many," she told journalists on Monday after landing at the Shahjalal International Airport from a tour to the US.
Shahara, who hit headlines repeatedly for her comments as the Home Minister, also termed such changes in the Cabinet a 'regular' practice.
Her successor Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir and State Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Hoque Tuku greeted the former Home Minister at the airport.
Praising Shahara for her activities, Alamgir said, "Shahara Khatun was the best Home Minister since 1975." He continued that in a parliamentary democracy, there could be changes in the Cabinet any time.
"It really does not matter who gets which portfolio," he added.
Responding to a query, Shahara said, "I never said that I am a successful Home Minister. The people are supposed to see what I have done."
