Be alert of excessive profit makers, GM Quader tells DCs
Commerce Minister GM Quader on Wednesday urged deputy commissioners to keep a vigil so that the businessmen are unable to make excessive profit.
“We have already instructed the businessmen to make reasonable profit,” the minister told reporters after attending the DCs’ conference at the Cabinet Division in the capital.
He also stressed on strengthening the market monitoring.
If there is any special product that the DCs deem enlisting as exportable, promote it, the minister told the DCs.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua, who also attended the meeting, asked the DCs to remain alert so that the districts may not face any fertiliser crisis.
The three-day DC conference began on Tuesday.
