Discard war criminals from politics : Inu
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president Hasanul Huq Inu, MP, today said those who are talking aloud on the 'minus-two theory' in the prevailing situation in the country want to 'plus' (add) the war criminals in the politics in reality.

"They are dreaming of return to power with BNP and Jamaat. If we can't 'minus' (discard) the war criminals, Begum Zia will be a 'minus' from the politics," he said adding that there is no alternative left but to 'minus' the war criminals from the country's politics for the sake of sustainable democracy.
Inu said this while speaking as the chief guest at divisional representatives' meeting of JSD at Colonel Taher auditorium at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
Manikganj district unit JSD president Iqbal Hossain Khan chaired the meeting which was also addressed by JSD vice- president Meer Hossain Akhter, standing committee member Shirin Akhter, joint general secretary Nazmul Huq Prodhan, organising secretary Shawkat Raihan, Karim Shikder and Manzur Ahmed Manju.
The JSD chief said, "We cannot think of continuation of the democratic process in the country by retaining the war criminals in politics. It has been proved during the five-year misrule of the BNP-Jamaat alliance government from 2001 to 2006."
Inu said, "Retaining of Jamaat in politics means grenade attacks, blasting of bombs in all the districts , in courts, mosques and temples. So, retaining of Jamaat means exclusion of democracy."
He said, "Democracy has its own strength and this strength will not allow existence of the war criminals and Jamaat. That is the reason why Begum Khaleda Zia will be excluded from the country's politics if she wants to add the war criminals and Jamaat."
The JSD chief said, "The present government does not believe in militancy. For this reason, there is not a single instance of bomb blasts in any fairs and Shaheed Minars across the country during the past three and a half years of the government."
