President for measures to prevent recurrence of unwanted casualties
President Zillur Rahman on Thursday urged the political leaders, local administration, voluntary organizations and all other concerned to take immediate measures to prevent recurrence of unwanted casualties that occurred in three districts of greater Chittagong.

I n a message, the President has expressed deep shock at the unwanted deaths of more than hundred people in Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Bandarban due to landslide, house collapse and lightning following torrential rains over the past several days.
He prayed to the almighty for the departed souls and conveyed his sincere sympathy to the bereaved family members.
President Zillur expressed the hope that injured people would recover soon through taking treatment.
He noted that such unwanted and heartrending incidents have been taking place almost every year in the country and these could be avoided through early preparations and adequate care.
