Ranbir’s loss is Ajay’s gain

Ajay Devgn’s good luck continues to run on unabated. If all his films doing wonderfully well wasn’t enough, even films meant for other actors are unexpectedly landing in his lap.

The latest could be Sajid Khan’s upcoming film, which was originally supposed to have Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.

Sources inform that post Housefull 2, Sajid is writing his next film, to be produced by Vashu Bhagnani. “Sajid had already spoken to Ranbir for the role, but since the latter is busy shooting for Barfee and also has Ayan Mukherjee’s upcoming film lined up, he had to turn down the offer,” the sources said.

But Sajid didn’t have to look too far for a replacement. “Now that Ranbir couldn’t be a part of the deal, Sajid decided to go ahead with an altogether new starcast. We now hear that he has approached Ajay Devgn to play the lead. The film will go on floors once Housefull 2 releases,” the source adds.

However, when contacted, Sajid refused to give details. “I am making the film for Vashuji but the script and cast haven’t been decided yet. We will talk once the details are finalised,” he said.
