78.67pc pass HSC, equivalent exams
The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams have been announced with overall pass rate of 78.67 percent, ATN Bangla reports.

A total number of GPA (Grade Point Average) 5 scorers reached 61,162.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the result to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Gono Bhaban at 10:00am on Wednesday.
Last year, 75.08 percent passed the HSC and equivalent examinations and 39,769 got GPA-5.
Of the successful examinees, 78.23 percent male students came out successfully while the pass rate for female students reached 79.01 percent.
This year, the Sylhet Board topped the list of highest pass rate among the eight general education boards with 85.37 percent candidates passing while Jessore Board stood last with 67.87 percent.
The pass rates of other education boards are: Dhaka Board 81.89 percent, Chittagong Board 72.29 percent, Comilla Board 74.56 percent, Rajshahi Board 78.84 percent, Barisal Board 84.32 percent and Dinajpur Board 75.41 percent.
The passing rate of Madrasa Board is 91.77 percent while the passing rate of Vocational Board is 84.32 percent.
The examinees can get their results directly from the website, www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.
Moreover, the examinees will get their results from the respective centres, websites of their respective boards and through short message service (SMS) over mobile phones from 3:00pm, education ministry officials said.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will formally announce the results at a press conference at his ministry at 1:00pm.
