Stocks finish downbeat
The prices of most of the shares at the country’s both bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) –- nosedived on Sunday.

The DSE benchmark index, DGEN lost 58.82 points or 1.43 percent to reach 4039.87 points at closing. Of the issues traded on the day, 55 gained, 195 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
The top 10 gainers of the day are Bangladesh Submarine Cables, Grameen Phone, RN Spinning, Meghna Petroleum, GPH Ishpat, Square Pharma, Keya Cosmetics, Saiham Cotton, Jamuna Oil and NBL.
Shares worth Tk 203.54 crore were traded at the DSE on Sunday.
Similarly, the CSE key index, CSCX lost 101.15 points to stand at 7785.28 points at the end of day’s trading today.
Of the issues traded, 37 gained, 144 suffered loss and two remained unchanged.
The top 10 gainers of the day are Bangladesh Submarine Cables, Grameen Phone, RN Spinning, Saiham Cotton, Beximco, NBL, United Air, AAmra Tech, UCBL and AB Bank.
Shares worth Tk 37.95 crore were traded on the CSE today.
