Madhuri Dixit is upset over Batman shootout

As news spread about a shootout at an American theatre on Friday evening, tweets of outrage and grief poured online from various parts of the globe.

On Friday, a 24-year-old boy, dressed as the Joker from the Batman series, arrived at a local theatre in Denver, Colorado, during the screening of the latest installment of the film series titled The Dark Knight Rises, and opened fire at a bunch of moviegoers who'd come to catch the morning show of the film.

One of those upset by the news of the shootout is Madhuri Dixit Nene, who spent over a decade in Denver after her marriage to hubby Dr Sriram Nene in the early 2000s.

While Madhuri shifted base to Mumbai last year with hubby and sons, we're sure memories of the city still remain with her.

So, when she heard about the shootout, Madhuri immediately took to her micro-blogging profile, and posted, "Just heard about the shooting in Denver, Colorado.

My heart goes out to the families."
